What services does E.M.P.I.R.E. Music Group offer?
We provide professional recording, mixing, mastering (including digital and analog hybrid workflows), vocal production, songwriting, post-production for podcasts and film, live sound support, and artist development. We also offer consultations and tailored guidance for building a lasting music career.
How do I book a studio session?
Booking is simple. You can secure your session through our website or by calling or texting 804-731-6089. Once your request is reviewed, you’ll receive a deposit invoice for 50% of the total session cost. Your session is only confirmed once the deposit is paid.
We do not accept walk-ins — all sessions must be scheduled in advance.
What do I need to secure a session?
A non-refundable deposit (50% of your session fee) is required to lock in your time. The remainder is due at the beginning of the session. Without a deposit, your session will not be reserved.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
Cancellations or changes must be made at least 24 hours before your session. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiture of your deposit and restrictions on future bookings.
How long are studio sessions?
Studio sessions range from 1 to 12 hours. Custom time blocks and overnight lockouts are available for serious projects but must be arranged in advance.
🎧 Studio Capabilities & Equipment
What kind of equipment do you use?
Our setup includes Pro Tools Ultimate, UAD plugins, high-end analog outboard gear, summing via Dangerous Music, professional-grade preamps, compressors, microphones, and monitors. A detailed equipment list can be provided upon request.
Do you offer analog processing or just digital?
Both. We specialize in a hybrid system that blends analog warmth with digital precision — giving your project a polished, professional finish that stands out.
Can I bring my own engineer or producer?
For liability reasons, we do not rent our studio to outside engineers. All sessions must be run by EMG-approved engineers to ensure quality, safety, and accountability. If you have a creative partner or producer you’d like to bring, they are welcome to attend and collaborate, but the session must still be operated by our in-house team.
Do you offer remote services?
Yes. If you’re not in the area, you can send in your files for mixing, mastering, or consultation. Zoom calls and real-time feedback sessions are also available.
🎶 Vocal Recording & Creative Collaboration
Can I record if I don’t have lyrics or production ready?
Absolutely. We can connect you with songwriters or producers from our team who can help you build a record from scratch. Just mention this in your booking notes so we can prepare accordingly.
Do you lease or sell production through EMG?
Yes. Our in-house producers create exclusive and non-exclusive production across a variety of genres. You can preview available tracks during your session or request a private catalog.
Will the engineer help guide me while recording?
Definitely. We specialize in vocal production and performance coaching — from stacking and harmonies to delivery and emotion. We’ll help you bring out your best.
💼 Business, Rights & Files
Who owns the music after the session?
You retain rights to anything you write and record unless a collaboration agreement says otherwise. If you’re working with EMG producers or writers, we’ll provide a split sheet to clarify all rights and ownership.
Do you provide contracts and split sheets for collaborations?
Yes. We operate with professionalism and transparency. All multi-creator sessions are supported with the proper documentation to protect everyone’s contributions.
What files do I receive after my session?
You’ll receive a final mix, an instrumental version, and an acapella if requested. Upon request, we can also provide stems or alternate versions (TV mix, clean, etc.). Files are delivered securely via download link.
How long does it take to receive mixes or masters?
Standard turnaround is 3–5 business days for mixes, and 1–3 days for mastering. Rush services are available for an additional fee.
📊 Session Etiquette & Policies
Can I bring guests to my session?
You may bring up to 2 guests. All guests must remain respectful of the studio environment. Disruptive behavior may result in termination of the session without refund.
What’s the policy on drugs, alcohol, and weapons?
No weapons are allowed on site. Alcohol is permitted in moderation. Any drug use, excessive intoxication, or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated.
Will my session be private?
Yes. Your session is your space. We do not record or post behind-the-scenes content without your permission. Confidentiality and respect for your creative process is part of our core culture.
